Traveling stunt shows like this would've been an exciting thing back then, and still are now. This film has great footage of a Chevy-sponsored stunt show, including shots of roll-overs, jumps, and two-wheel driving.

People then weren't as stupid as they are now
"I'll bet you local yokels saw this and then attempted rollovers on their own. Funny how they barely disclaim that you really shouldn't try these tricks at home."
They didn't have to tell people in 1956 that they shouldn't try these tricks at home; people then were smart enough to know better - Now you have to tell people that doing stunt tricks with your car on a public street is dangerous, because they are too stupid and self-absorbed to know or care about the difference between right and wrong, and respecting the rights of others.

Look out Joie!
Curious film here, half about a stunt driving troupe and half about how durable Chevrolets are. Featuring 'Joie Chitwood's Thrill Show', Chitwood's claim that the cars he uses for his shows are just like the cars you can buy from your local dealer! So yes, you know what I'm thinking.. I'll bet you local yokels saw this and then attempted rollovers on their own. Funny how they barely disclaim that you really shouldn't try these tricks at home, but no! they're doing 2 wheelies! Jumps! swerves! The crowd goes wild. I would go wild too if there wasn't any more protection then what we see from the performing cars, some of which look too close into steering into the crowds.. Very interesting and reccomended!

Chevrolet Action Release No. 2.
1956 Chevy promo film outlines the demonstrations of Joie Chitwood's Thrill Show. Great footage of '56 Chevies being jumped and rolled to prove their safety and durability. An excellent piece of automotive history from the days of the traveling auto thrill shows!
